My friend and I left his home at around 10:00 am in the morning, picked up a mutual friend and left for the country. We stopped at a FasGas station just outside Red Deer for a break. We then left to look at a community called Sylvan Lake. Sylvan Lake is more of a resort community. I unfortunately did not take any photographs of the lake itself.
We did not per say stop in Sylvan lake. We then drove to another community further west where we stopped to have lunch at a Boston Pizza in Rocky Mountain House where I had some Jambalaya pasta with baked on cheese.
Later we stopped at a lake at my insistence and took some photographs even though the lake was frozen over.
We then made our way home stopping at a general store in Buck Lake, AB. The price of gas when the Google car went through was 96.9 cents a litre.
We got back to Edmonton after stopping for a coffee in Wetaskawin. As one of our friends was feeling really hungry we stopped for a bite at a new Brewsters in a new neighbourhood called Somerset. I noticed that there were several Asian chain restaurants as well. There was a Vietnamese, Japanese, Middle Eastern and Mexican restaurant in the area.
We managed to get back home (his home) at around 2130 hrs.
